Editorial review policy
Last updated: 21 May 2026
This page sets out how the QueenTopList editorial team reviews UK-facing online casino brands. It is published so that readers can see exactly what sits behind a review summary or an editor score.
Scope
We review online casino brands that hold an active licence from the UK Gambling Commission and that accept customers based in Great Britain. We do not cover unlicensed sites, offshore-only operators, or skin sites that share a licence but provide no original product difference.
What we check
- Licensing. A current UK Gambling Commission licence and a clear regulatory footer.
- Terms readability. How clearly the operator publishes wagering, eligibility, payment, and withdrawal rules.
- Sign-up and verification. How long the account opening and identity checks take, and how clearly they are explained.
- Payments. The deposit and withdrawal methods available at the time of review, including methods commonly excluded from promotions.
- Game library. The breadth of slots, table games, and live dealer, including the providers represented.
- Mobile experience. Site speed, navigation, search, and the cashier flow on a mid-range mobile device.
- Customer support. Availability hours, channels offered, and the quality of responses to a real test query.
- Responsible gambling tools. How visible and configurable deposit limits, time-outs, reality checks, and self-exclusion are.
How the editor score is built
Each point above is rated against the same internal rubric and then combined into a single editor score on a 1 to 10 scale. The score is an editorial comparison metric, not a regulatory rating, and not a guarantee of any outcome. The score is reviewed at each update cycle, which can move it up or down compared to a previous review.
What we do not do
- We do not promise winnings, payouts, approval, or any other gambling outcome.
- We do not declare any operator “the best” in an official or regulatory sense.
- We do not publish fake user reviews or fabricated testimonials.
- We do not allow operators to write or approve our review summaries.
Update cycle
Reviews are scheduled for a refresh on a regular cycle, typically every six to twelve months, and out of cycle when an operator changes significant terms, payment options, or compliance setup. Update dates appear on the homepage and in the site footer.
